Question 1

Does the online buy-out apply to all my social media channels simultaneously?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you choose your desired reach and duration in the calculator. Your rights apply to all your selected online channels.

Question 2

What is BSF?

Accepted Answer

BSF (Basic Session Fee) is a one-off fee of €199 per commercial recording. On top of that, there is the buy-out per chosen medium and broadcast channel (online, radio, or TV). If you combine multiple broadcast channels in one order, for example, radio plus TV plus online, then you pay one BSF plus buy-outs per channel.

Question 3

What is a buy-out?

Accepted Answer

A buy-out is the right to use your voice-over on the chosen medium. You pay this in addition to the recording (BSF). Choose the medium, duration, and number of commercials in the calculator. You will see the total amount before you pay.

Question 4

What counts as a commercial?

Accepted Answer

A campaign usually consists of one main commercial with variations, for example, 30s, 20s, and 6s, or different calls to action. Each variation counts as a separate commercial. Enter the number of commercials you need in the calculator.

Question 5

What is duration?

Accepted Answer

Duration is how long your campaign is active on the chosen medium. For online video, you can often continue to use the commercial indefinitely as organic video on your own channels after that period. For radio and TV, this extension usually does not apply. Choose the duration in the calculator; the buy-out is calculated for that period.

Question 6

What is the difference between a local, regional, and national radio or TV commercial?

Accepted Answer

Locally, you primarily reach one city or region through local stations. Regionally covers multiple regions or a regional network. Nationally covers the entire country and has the widest reach. With Voices, you pay an all-inclusive rate for local and regional radio and TV commercials: one fixed rate per commercial. National commercials and online spots work with a recording fee (BSF) plus a buy-out per medium. Choose your reach in the calculator, and you will immediately see the correct pricing model.

Question 7

How is the buy-out calculated?

Accepted Answer

For each voice, your buy-out is calculated by multiplying the number of commercials by the duration (podcast per 3 months). Regional and local radio and TV commercials are all-inclusive. For national online, podcast, radio, and TV commercials, you pay a one-off €199 BSF per campaign, plus the buy-out per medium.

Question 8

Are revisions included?

Accepted Answer

Revisions are only free when the voice actor makes a mistake, for example, a wrong word or a pronunciation that does not match your script or brief. If you want to adjust your script or submit new requests afterwards, that is not a revision: we will create a separate proposal for that.

Question 9

Are there any hidden costs?

Accepted Answer

No. The amount in the calculator is what you pay for the chosen recording and selected usage rights. You explicitly choose optional extras, such as hold music, at the checkout.

Question 10

Are the rates on Voices inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

Accepted Answer

The guide prices on this page are net (excluding VAT), as stated in our general terms and conditions. In the calculator and checkout, you will see the exact total before you pay: VAT is shown separately or included, depending on your situation (for example, a valid VAT number for businesses within the EU). This way, you always know what you are paying.
